The Unweaving: What It Looks Like to Stop Performing Your Life and Start Living the One You Were Built For

On July 1, 2026, I began something I am calling The Unweaving.

Not a rebrand. Not a reinvention. Not a glow-up.

An emergence.

The spider does not abandon her web when she needs to rebuild. She unweaves what no longer serves and creates something stronger, more intentional, and more beautiful than before. That is what I am doing. And I want to tell you why — because I think you might be in the middle of your own unweaving and not yet have a name for it.

What I Was Performing

For years I have described K–12 teaching as my life’s work. And it is true. I have spent more than twenty years in classrooms, in research, in the lives of students who needed someone to see them clearly and refuse to give up on what they could become. That work is sacred. I do not diminish it.

But I have been performing something alongside it. A smallness. A willingness to stay within a ceiling I could see through but never named. A habit of calling my limits my identity.

K–12 teaching is my life’s work. But it was never the ceiling.

And W.E.B. of Wisdom — Wellness, Equity, and Business — is my dream big.

What The Unweaving Actually Is

The Unweaving is 90 days — July 1 through September 28, 2026 — of living the W.E.B. Methodology™ more publicly and more fully than I ever have.

It means pursuing the professorship in entrepreneurship and business development that I have been building toward. It means writing the novel that has been living inside me for years — the story of my own W.E.B. journey. It means hosting two book events that bring my entire body of work into public view as one coherent system. And it means transforming my body and reclaiming my mornings with the same intentionality I bring to everything else I build.

It also means alcohol-free. Plant-based. Yoga and prayer and meditation every single morning. The gym five days a week. Chiropractic care twice a week. Because the W in W.E.B. is Wellness — and you cannot build a sustainable framework on an unsustainable foundation.

The W: Starting with MyselfI apologize for the

W.E.B. of Wisdom did not begin with a business plan. It began with a crossroads.

A chapter of my life had closed. I did not have direction. I went back to education because it has always been where I find my footing. But even there, something was unsettled. So I started with the W.

Wellness. I turned inward before I turned outward. I attended to my own foundation before I built anything on top of it. I stopped organizing my life around everyone else’s comfort at the persistent expense of my own clarity.

The Unweaving begins the same way. With Wellness. With the body. With the morning. With the decision, made daily, to be the first institution I lead before I try to lead anything else.

The E: Claiming What Is Mine

Equity, in the W.E.B. Methodology™, is about access, agency, and the belief that every person deserves a system built for who they actually are.

In my own life, Equity has meant claiming the professorship I have earned. Claiming the speaking stage. Claiming the consulting clients. Claiming the novel. Claiming the full expression of twenty years of scholarship and service — not as a side project, not as a future plan, but as a present reality I am actively building toward.

The Unweaving is an act of Equity. It is me, refusing to accept a smaller version of my professional identity than the one I have actually built.

The B: Building Out Loud

Business, in the W.E.B. Methodology™, is the mechanism that makes Wellness and Equity financially viable and professionally powerful.

During The Unweaving, I am building out loud. Submitting faculty applications. Hosting two book events. Developing the W.E.B. Methodology™ as a courseable, teachable, consulting-ready framework. Writing the novel. Building the pipeline.

Business is not separate from Wellness and Equity. It is what makes them last.

For the Woman Watching This

If you have been performing a smaller version of yourself — if you have been calling your ceiling your identity — I want you to know that The Unweaving is not a dramatic departure. It is a deliberate arrival.

You do not abandon the web when you rebuild. You unweave what no longer serves. And you weave something stronger from what remains.

I am doing that publicly, for the next 90 days, through the lens of the W.E.B. Methodology™. And I would love for you to follow along.

Because the woman you are becoming deserves to be built on a foundation of Wellness, Equity, and Business.

Not someday. Now.
