Joy Is Not a Feeling You Wait For.

It Is a Practice You Choose — and Evidence That the Work Is Working

Something is different this season.

I noticed it the way you notice a change in the light — not all at once, but in the accumulation of small moments that suddenly add up to something unmistakable. There is a quality to what I am experiencing right now that I can only describe as joy. Not relief. Not the absence of difficulty. Joy. The specific, embodied sense that the life unfolding in front of me is good — and that I am present enough to actually receive it.

Day 62 of The Unweaving. Phase 2 begins. We are no longer unweaving — we are weaving. And the thread I am working with right now is joy.

Joy as Evidence

Joy is not a personality trait. It is not something some people have and others do not. It is evidence — evidence that the reclamation is working, that the alignment is real, that the recognition and the reclamation have produced something that can sustain itself.

When I was in the season documented in The Return Before the Ready, Without Leaving Myself, joy felt like something I had misplaced. I knew it had existed. I could remember what it felt like. But it was not available to me in the way it is now — freely, without performance, without the hum of anxiety underneath it.

The return produced conditions for joy. And the rebuilding — the daily practice of living in alignment with who I actually am — is where the joy actually lives.

New Encounters. New Connections.

This season is also bringing something I did not fully anticipate: new people. New rooms. New conversations with people who are meeting the version of me that has done the work — not the version who was managing everything while appearing to be fine.

There is something remarkable about being seen by the right people at the right time. When you are grounded in who you are, the connections you form are different. They are built on something real. And they carry a quality of abundance — not scarcity, not competition, not performance — that I want to document while it is happening.

Abundance Is Not Just Financial

The W.E.B. Methodology™ treats abundance as a multidimensional experience. Yes, economic agency and financial sustainability are part of the W.E.B. Business pillar. But abundance — the kind that makes a life feel full — includes relational abundance, creative abundance, professional abundance, and the specific kind of abundance that comes when the opportunities arriving in your life are actually aligned with who you are.

That is what I am experiencing right now. And I want every woman reading this to know: it is available. It is not reserved for a particular kind of person or a particular kind of path. It is the natural result of doing the work — of recognition, reclamation, and rebuilding with alignment.
