It inspires transformational change by providing women and girls with the tools, support, and opportunities necessary to thrive in every dimension of society.

Wellness

Wellness serves as a foundational element, emphasizing the deep connection between environment, mindset, attitudes, beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and physical health. This pillar prioritizes prevention, individualized self-care, and the holistic integration of mind, body, and soul.

Equity

Equity represents the strategic process of dismantling gender-based barriers that limit access to opportunity. It is the means through which women and girls gain power and agency over their lives, enabling them to make intentional, informed choices. Centered on lived experiences, equity promotes active participation across all areas of society—from education and employment to entrepreneurship and economic development.

Business

Business is the framework’s skill-building component, dedicated to identifying, nurturing, and strengthening the capacities required to navigate both entrepreneurship and education. Who is Dr. Shanelle?

Dr. Shanelle R. Dawson is a consultant, author, professional speaker, and principal owner of Dr. Shanelle R. Dawson, LLC. With over 24 years of experience in education and more than 17 years in educational consulting, her work is grounded in systems thinking and focused on how structure, strategy, and design shape outcomes.

Her career has been defined by a deep commitment to community and individual empowerment. Dr. Dawson has spent her adult life encouraging others, cultivating meaningful relationships, and advocating for underserved populations—always with a focus on expanding access, opportunity, and long-term success.

Recognizing the critical role of structure and strategy in education, her work is part of a larger, systems-forward body of writing centered on education, preparation, and intentional leadership. These ideas are explored across five forthcoming books: Teaching Beyond the Classroom, Educate, Encourage, Empower, Queen Moves, Crowned with Purpose, and W.E.B. of Wisdom. Together, these works form a cohesive framework for understanding how systems influence student development, leadership, and future opportunity.

To further extend this work, Dr. Dawson founded the Dawson Advancement Virtual Academy™, a digital learning community designed to enhance educational experiences for all scholars. The platform equips participants with the tools, strategies, and insights needed to navigate an increasingly complex and global landscape. The Dawson Academy™ reflects Dr. Dawson’s lived intersection as a mother, educator, consultant, scholar, and woman rebuilt.

In 2021, Dr. Dawson ran for public office, driven by her deep connection to the City of Syracuse and the Town of Clay, New York. Her candidacy was rooted in a commitment to building bridges, strengthening communities, and advancing equitable outcomes. Her platform focused on children and family services, healthcare, education, employment, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability.
